Join our "Great" Leap Year 2024!
Your donations, contributions, and support make Great Leap's work possible! With your support, Great Leap is able to continue engaging communities across cultural and faith-based divides in order to transform our relationships with Mother Earth. Together in 2024 we continued to build critical creative spaces for communities and artists through our projects FandangObon, Manzanar Baseball Project, the Neuro Cultural Dance project, and our work with Sustainable Little Tokyo's Toriumi Plaza Project. Great Leap also tours to engage students from middle school through college in connecting the different dance, drum, music, and circle dancing practices.
We continue to celebrate our loving leadership transition welcoming our Executive & Artistic Director Alison De La Cruz. We herald our founder Nobuko Miyamoto and celebrate her new role as Legacy Artist In Residence. We continue to celebrate the release of the new documentary "Nobuko Miyamoto: A Song in Movement" set to premiere on PBS's ArtBound series in late October 2024.
